Fall of the Roman Empire Stations Activity

1 Credit

Students engage in a stations activity to analyze the Fall of Rome. They study political, military, social, and economic reasons that led to the end of the empire. This is a no-prep lesson that allows students work at their own pace!

Here’s how the lesson proceeds:

=> Do Now question

=> Slide presentation introducing and overview of the fall and a 5-minute video

=> Students answer a document-based multiple-choice question and a short response question for each station. There is also a culminating writing prompt.

=> The exit is a high-level thinking question that can lead to a lively discussion.

=> An ANSWER KEY is included

=> a lesson plan is included

Make copies of the day’s student handout and you’re done. Or, if you’d like, put your own spin on any of the lessons. It’s easy because IT’S ALL EDITABLE.
