This no-prep, editable lesson engages students in close-read activities about the causes and an overall introduction to the Protestant Reformation. After a mini-lecture and note-taking, students read a passage summarizing the topic. Next, they complete individual and pair-share activities that require them to reengage with the reading. There is a modified student handout for struggling learners (the main ideas are in bold). The resource includes all lesson components: slides with a warm-up and short lecture, student handout, and a conclusion. An answer key and a lesson plan are provided to ensure this resource is effortless to implement. There are both print and digital versions included.
